Moo Moo

The girls go through phases, some longer then others. We have a few that have followed them along the way since they were little babies. Their blankies for one, the story of the yellow silky blankie goes like this.

It was getting to be time to put the girls down for their morning nap, I laid them on the floor in the living room with the same white blankets they always used. The girls had awful reflux and threw up almost every bottle they ate. This morning was no different. I was in the kitchen doing the dishes when I heard one of the girls spit up. She had gotten her blanket soaked so I went to the closet to get a new one. I grabbed the first one, they had tons from my baby shower, it is beyond me how I ended up grabbing this particular one. I covered her back up and went back to the kitchen... this is when I heard the ear piercing scream. Mommy's know what each scream means and this was I am hurt scream. When I ran into the living room I was supprized nobody was hurt. We had a blankie bandit, there was one of my sweet girls with two blankets and the other with nothing screaming. I went back to the closet and grabbed the other blnaket just like the other I had just grabbed moments before. As soon as the blankie was in her hands she never made another peep, and from then on they have been proud yellow silky blankie owners.



The second phase that has followed the girls for almost their entire life is the Moo Moo's. Moo Moo is a blue beanie moose they got from a special friend of mine. I used to watch her little boy, well used to be little boy. She is the most courageous woman I know. She can take a situation that would tear me to pieces and over come it like it was nothing. Nobody should have to be faced with one of the things that her and her family have been through let alone all of them. I don't know how she keeps her head held so high and goes on, but I am glad she does it. She means a lot to me and my family, we love her a lot.
She bought Moo Moo for the girls when they were around 4 months old and they love them. Moo Moo has gone every where we have gone. He went into surgery with Devan, he is awesome at soothing sick babies. Weird he is just a stuffed animal but I couldn't have done it with out him. The girls were sure to never leave Moo Moo behind. These days they try to be cool and not need Moo Moo so much. But as soon as they get a temp or a boo boo I am searching for them. He is usually always found in their bed, hidden but there.

The verdict is in...

I am going to be an auntie again and this time it is going to be a niece! My best friend/sister in law is having her second baby at the end of March. I am so excited my brother knew it was going to be a girl from the beginning but Crystal though it would be too good to be true. This is there last one and her being a girl just makes things perfect. I can't wait to see Julian and Sophie together. My brother (the dad) and I were super close growing up, I hope the same for Julian and Sophie. I know this pregnancy is kicking your butt Crystal, hang in there it is well worth it in the end.

Oh yeah sorry Julian I guess this confirms that Mommy is not having a horsie, Poor little guy was really looking forward to having a baby horse around.

Organization = A happy Mommy

I love to be organized, I spend forever getting areas so neat and tidy but with four people living in a small house it does not take long for things to get messed up. When the girls were little Chris and I would clean their entire room every night before tucking them in... fast forward to almost four, they make quite the mess now. The girls have two huge toy boxes but we find other ways to use them. A toy box makes no sense to me, all the pieces and parts to toys end up on the bottom. I organize the girls toys into bins and buckets to keep things tidy. This usually last for a couple days then it goes down hill until I find an hour to sort through toys ... again.

Ryleigh and Devan have a pretty small room, we plan on finishing out our full day light basement eventually to give them more space but for now we make due with what we have. The girls now have toddler bunk beds! Sweet, they take up as mush space as one regular toddler bed. We could not find anything like this so Chris and I converted their toddler beds into bunk beds. (We did add another rail on the top bed) This saves tons of space. I am so happy and so are the girls.

So clean... I will sleep good tonight.

Worldful Wednesday Hanging with our Cuz

Ryleigh and Devan announced very loudly to everyone at school that their cousin Julian was coming to spend the night. We do not get Julian very often his mommy works full time so time off from work is her precious time with Julian :) Thank fully day care is closed from time to time this is when Julian comes to spend the night. The girls love their cousins, all boys and enjoy every minute with them. They were so excited Julian was coming over and so was I.

Julian asked me in the sweetest little voice "Aunie I watch Shrek now please." It was pushing bed time and I rarly let the girls watch movies in their room but I couldn't say no to the little bugger. I love him so much.

Here they all are fixated on Shrek, this picture is so cute I love it.

Play Doh, Oh no

It's eight in the morning and we are already in full swing at our house. The girls have been begging for an hour to play with the play-doh they got for Halloween. Play-doh is on a list along with bubbles in my head. This list is... things that were invented to drive Moms crazy. Maybe it is the play-doh tracked all over the house and into the rugs or the girls wanting to play with it for ten minutes then they are ready to move on. Bubbles, my least favorite, sticky, drippy and the infamous mommy look at me "I am doing it"... bubbles and spit in your face. I think moms all have a list that we keep in our head and dread when we see these things opened up at birthday parties, Gee Grandma thanks for the drum set...

This morning went surprisingly well, the girls played while I got to drink an entire cup of coffee. I had just put my cup down when I heard "Mommy come look at my elephant" I was getting up, ready to tone my voice into the sweetest "wow honey that is a good job." When I got to the table to my surprise there was a elephant there. I was so happy and Ryleigh was so proud of herself. Its funny from the time the girls were little I watch other kids doing things that they have not accomplished and it seems like days later I am watching my own kids catch on and learn. I was wondering when they were going to give up making snakes and pancakes and attempt some lovely play-doh art... I wonder what comes next? They played with the play-doh for over an hour, so I am removing it from my list ... for now.

The whole gang getting ready to go. My sister Sarah came over with my nephew Brady to spend the day. I had our little bother Isaac over as well. We went to Dunkin Donuts to decorate donuts and made a big spaghetti dinner before we went trick or treating.




The girls were Woody and Jessie for Halloween by choice and they were super cute. I looked everywhere for costumes and found two kinds a one piece spandex costume that was awful or a $60.00 costume from the Disney store. I was not spending over $100.00 dollars on costumes so we made our own. I think in total I spent $30.00 and the girls looked so cute!
