Hearing from Santa

The girls and I wrote letters to Santa the other day and I "mailed them" to my Aunt who sent letters back to the girls. When we checked the mail and they saw the letters, they were so excited. The magic of Santa really set in with these letters. As I read them the girls were shaking with excitement. They were so happy Santa answered all their questions and knew what they wanted. Every year holidays get more and more exciting. The girls are so ready for Christmas this year. They think birthdays and Christmas go hand and hand where their birthday is 3 days before Christmas. This year they are having a birthday party with friends from school, their friend Kylie and a few family members. I really want to the girls to have a birthday, it is easy to forget where it is around the holiday season. I want them to know their birthday is their birthday not another Christmas, I think having their friends here will help with that!

After school today I took the girls over to see Santa. There was only one other kid there the whole time so it was really nice. The girls both sat on Santa's lap and told them what they wanted.

Earlier this week we had an incident where Ryleigh threw a ceramic tea cup at her sisters head. She was so happy to see in her letter that Santa still thinks she was a good girl. I tried telling her she still was a good girl even though she did something naughty but she was convinced otherwise. When we went to see Santa he asked the girls if they had a tea set and Ryleigh's eyes got so big. She was terrified. lol

When we left Devan said the cutest thing.

Devan, "Mommy how did Santa marry Mrs Claus?"
Me, "They had a wedding and got married"
Devan "Yeah but he couldn't kiss her to live happily ever after, his beard is blocking his lips."
Me. "Well maybe when Santa was younger his beard was shorter."
LOL kids got to love them
