Fall Pictures

This year I opted to take the ladies pictures myself, pretty much the whole reason for having my camera. I LOVE taking their pictures, I love taking pictures in general. I have big plans of upgrading my camera, hopefully sooner rather than later. My girls are growing up so fast.

Harlem Rockets

Friday night the girls came home from school begging me to take them to see the Harlem Rockets at the local high school. They made an appearance that day at their school and several of the girls friends were going. I was tired from a long week and was trying to save every penny for Christmas shopping but I caved and we went. Before we left I made the girls clean their room, which they argued while doing so. I threatened not going and like I knew the would they cleaned up their room in a jiffy and we were off.

We had a great time!

The Great Hunter

Chris is taking turns bringing the girls hunting, Devan wanted to go first. We ran to town and got her a vest and hat I. Blaze orange for her big day.  Chris got a deer that morning so he was just bringing her for the experience. She was pumped

We hadn't even gotten out of walmart and she had her hat on.

Bundled up, on her way to Grampa's to hunt with Daddy.

Chris text-ed me this next picture a half hour into their "hunt"

Yup, she fell asleep. He he he

To top it off she will not take the vest off. She told Ryleigh she couldn't play because she had been hunting all day. Even though she only lasted a total of 1.5 hours.

When Devan ran off to get her Jammie's on, I wondered if she would come out with her vest on.

And she did

Then asked her sister if she wanted a turn.

And she wanted a turn.

Now they are on the couch watching Charlottes Web

Even the dog ;)

I snapped this picture earlier of three of my loves! My hearts bleeds happiness over this picture.

Update, Ry went hunting with Daddy, she ALMOST made it into the tree stand but got scared with just a few steps to go. She walked and walked and walked the woods. Just as they were about to leave the woods they heard a gun shot. Grampa got a deer! They walked over to the deer and there was another deer hanging around (sad). Ryleigh waved to the deer and talked to it. Next was gutting and of to the butcher. She is hooked. Not sure how I feel about this other then I like that Chris and the girls have something they all love.

School

School is big with the girls! They love it. We get the typical I don't want to go from time to time, overall they like it and they are great at it. I love seeing their work come home a lot of it correct. They are very smart. Their little brains are like sponges, their thought process has really taken off.

Devan had an assignment where she had to put a noun correctly into each sentence, she picked her own noun. I loved her answer because she is always losing her stuffed owl Lila ;) she tells me she must be on an adventure. I can just see how her eyes must have lit up as she wrote in Lila as the missing noun. She never gave the two words available a thought.

Both of our girls LOVE to read. They are total geeks and I am in love with this. They read and read and read! Ry is done with the Junie B Jones series. She reads entire books in just a day. Their total reading minutes logged for the month in October was over 1000 minutes. I so hope things stay this way.

Roger, Ryleigh's raccoon usually joins her for story time.

These two pictures are of Devan reading the dictionary.

Yesterday she read me the definition of Elf and Hare. I wonder how she picks which definitions deserves being announced. She also read in the dictionary that you have to be 35 to be president. The way this kid retains information like crazy Her love of the dictionary is going to lead her to great things someday.

Ryleigh got ready for school speedy quick so she could play with her stuffed animals. This is how I found her playing school.

Cheer season is back!

I told the girls that they had to put serious effort in if they wanted to cheer again this year. Not because I am one of this crazy cheer moms that want my child to be the best but because their team counts on them, each other. Last year there was a lot of whining and complaining with a side of effortless behavior... At times. Other times they loved it. This years first practice went great. It's amazing that they really haven't practiced but they have grown so much. Ryleigh was proud as a peacock at practice and Devan was attentive the whole time. Ry can do a great round off and I am pretty sure Devan's split will be perfected in no time! Go Warren!

Pippa Ideas

I need to get these pictures off my phone before the girls find them...

Phone Dump

You know it's time to upload/delete I pictures when you don't have space on your phone to take anymore.

Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays :) it is so much fun. This year the girls decided to be princesses again. This didn't hurt my feeling, we bought their costumes last year from the Disney store and they weren't cheap. It made me happy to know they would use them again. I opted for the Grinch this year. I found an awesome tutorial on YouTube for the Grinch's make up.

Halloween day I wore my Grinch costume to work and won first place! It was quite silly wearing that costume around. I had to pump gas and drop the girls off at school dressed as the Grinch.

Halloween night it poured buckets. We went to a sub division for trick or treating, we let the kids sit in the back of Randis car so when we made frequent stops it was easier getting in and out.

The girls at school Halloween morning.
